As a long-time Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE since 2000), I share your emotions about some of the changes in not only Apple hardware, but also some of the seemingly freakish "updates" that come down the pike. It seems like things were a bit more organized while Steve Jobs was living, but some of the wheels have fallen off since he passed. My first Apple (pre-Mac) had a 4-digit serial number, and there were all sorts of ways we could re-engineer those dandy Apple ][ machines so they would work better for us experimenters. (Remember when the Apple did not have lower case letters? Then, when upgrades came out and we could have TRUE descenders. Ahhh, those were the days! I'll bet nobody reading this comment remembers having to type 3D0G on an Apple....or, when disc drives came out, we could type "PR#4" (if the interface card was in slot #4) in order to get the floppy disc to boot.) Thanks, guys, for another fun, informative episode.

The fact all of you are using laptops for all your editing.... oh my. Thats painful! Get yourself a workstation for editing. At the very least you can still use a laptop for parts of it when you want to be mobile... but you'll save soooo much time having a real workstation for editing, especially when it comes to rendering!

I have a 2010 Honda Fit, and I love it. Nothing talks to you, the only buttons are to roll the windows down, and I'm so old school, even THAT is annoying. I absolutely hate the new cars, and I hope I can keep this car going for a while. I'll just buy another 2nd hand car when it dies. Never a new car. As a 74 year old retired musician who still plays and sings, I find the music scam shameful, and it pisses me off deeply. I find the level of greed shown by the electronic music scene sickening. Ben, I feel for you--I worry about losing my music to scummy business behavior and greed, too. Just so you know, I very much miss seeing you Hollars, but also understand that you need to be free of the social media "trip". Family is everything. Love you guys, the chemistry is always great! 🌻🌻🌄

Here in the Northwest Corner of Washington State we have Roosevelt elk and they walk right through fences, wooden rails, log fence- a friend had them walk through the orchard and 5 year old fruit trees were broken off at their belly level- the tree trunks were 5+ inch diameter. Elk just walk through anything, folks chase them off with ATVs but they don't care about solid barrier fence let alone electric line.
